The tenth sign of the zodiac, Saturn rules the sign and bestows ambition, a need always to do the right and proper thing, and a love of tradition. But Capricorns do have the capacity for enjoyment and always possess a marvelously offbeat sense of humor.

Since they were born under an earth sign, Capricorns will never be content merely to keep body and soul together. They have a persistent feeling that they must develop into something. They must have some accomplishment to point to, some property to look after, or some obligation to fulfill, which may be in business, politics, or the social or intellectual fields.

They desire money because theirs is a long-lived sign. They fear being dependent on others when they are old. This need for security may cause them to have frugal instincts, which makes them stingy and at times greedy.
