LEO

Leos were born under the sign of generosity and nobility of feeling. The sign Leo represents man's attempt at self-expression, the unfolding of the internal-power principle. Leo is a fire sign ruled by the Sun. Since it is the Sun's function to bestow upon the world heat, light and life, it is the benefactor of very living creature. In our planetary system it is the center around which the planets rotate. Leos, then, are generous. They must have the spotlight and, once in it, they must shine. They enjoy being the center of attention.

Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac, with a glyph as a Lion. The Lion can rule and, yes, at times roar, but Leos will retreat when injured. There is a powerful, but usually well-hidden, sensitivity. Here, too is the urge to create. Any Leo who isn't expressing creativity will not be truly fulfilled, and an unfulfilled Leo can be extremely disruptive.

Leos are frank, open hearted, generous and philanthropic, with a marked dramatic flair. There is a basic conflict in their nature caused by the static quality of a fixed sign with the highly active fire element. They hate being bogged down in details and prefer doing things in a big way. Leo rules the heart and affections. They are a sincere, affectionate lover; they thrive on it and are sincere in their desire to bring happiness into the loved one's life.

They are a natural leader who feels instinctively that their place in life is one of authority and organization. They have a great desire to lead and rule, but there is a chance that their great sense of pride might seem overbearing or dominating to others. They are sincere, ardent and highly appreciative of affection, freely given - and expect it to be generously returned to them.

They have a great philosophical, active mind and a warm disposition. Usually they have many friends who admire their independent, determined ambitious nature. They have a strong, forceful personality and often are quick to anger; like Aries and Sagittarius, however they are equally quick to forgive. They tend to carry themselves with regal bearing and are powerful and forthright in their expression.

The Leo magnetism doesn't normally go unnoticed as they are strongly attracted to the opposite sex. Leos are unconsciously drawn toward the idea that "the means justify the ends." Money is important only as a means of achieving their goals.
