PISCES
February 19 - March 20

In many ways, Pisces is the most mystical and occult Sign of all. Compassionate to a fault, the Pisces-born cannot stand to see others suffer. They are kind and sympathetic to animals, children and people in distress. They tolerate much adversity in their life and tend to suffer inwardly. They are easily moved to tears by the sight or knowledge of someone else suffering.

They desperately want to do the right thing, but as a rule they do not have strong willpower. Therefore, they are easily influenced by external factors. They must learn to stand alone and face the unknown with a simple faith.

The symbol for Pisces is two attached fishes, one swimming upstream and the other downstream, implying the drastic duality of emotions in persons born under this sign. Pisceans apparently are unable to make up their minds.

Pisceans always seem to have a tired feeling, which prompts them to withdraw from intense effort and avoid sports. They are not combative.

Their aversion to struggle often makes them indecisive in thinking and acting. They will generally suffer injury rather than fight for their rights. When their supply of patience is exhausted, however, they can become so provoked that it is impossible to calm them down. Pisceans can be stubborn and allow no one to reason with them.

Jupiter is one of the rulers of Pisces, and since this planet functions as a preserver, it gives Pisceans the faith necessary to maintain vitality and a sense of personal significance.
The Piscean temperament varies from being strongly optimistic to being acutely pessimistic. This can be irritating to those who are absorbed in the material world and cannot understand how people born under a sensitive sign can get lost in the business of living.

Generally, Pisceans are not ambitious for material or monetary acquisitions. However, in early life their aims appear to be materialistic, since Pisceans know instinctively that if the search for the self is to be successful, physical wants should not be a source of worry. They must learn to be more careful with other people's possessions, as well as their own.

Pisceans like to be enveloped in a dream world where they can forget the self. If this tendency can be developed, controlled and directed, the result is an admirable dramatic ability. It sometimes produces the artist, poet, musician, or sculptor. Many excellent and creative dancers are born under this sign. Music appears to be a natural law to Pisceans, for the sign has also produced prominent and superb singers.
